In studio 5A, we are required to insert background and change the background with the green-screen removal.
In this studio, i've learnt new tools such as:
1. The keylight effect tool
With this tool i am able to edit a video with green-screen and remove the background into transparent with just selecting the green color. With this, i can easily another cool background into the footage. The person filming does not need to go to the actual scene to film, instead we can just edit the background in for them and it can make it realistic as well.
In this tutorial, i'm required to edit a video and replace it's background from a solid colour to a sky picture.
From this tutorial i've learn new tools from after effects,
2. The adjustments curves tool
This tool allow me to change it's colour to either a more brighter or more comfortable colour by moving the curves upwards or downwards. The curves is changeable under the RGB panel. By changing the colours of the image, it makes the picture blend in even more to the video making it as on whole video.
3. The trackers control
This tool will make sure that the image blends in well together with the video to make it look as one whole video instead of two different items putting together. This tool is very useful as some of the effect can't be taken by camera, hence, we can add in the effects by using this tool.
This is my week 5 e-learning: Advance sky replacement.
In this e-learning, we are required to change the solid sky and replace it with a sky image as like we did for the basic sky replacement.
In this tutorial, i've learnt the "luma inverted matte" tool. With this tool, i am able to change the alpha channel to represent as a grayscale image to set the transparency of the background better.
This video also requires me to use the trackers control tool as well as the adjustment curves tool. As i've mentioned above, the trackers control tool allow the image to blend in together with the footage and make it look realistic. Besides, as the image is originally stationery, with the trackers control tool, we can make it seems like the image is moving together with the footage.
In this video, we are required to change the solid color sky to a "gradient-like" color sky. Hence, we need to use the hue/saturation under the colour correction effect.
4. The hue/saturation effect
The Hue/Saturation effect adjusts the hue, saturation, and lightness of individual color components in an image. This effect is based on the color wheel. Adjusting the hue, or color, represents a move around the color wheel. Adjusting the saturation, or purity of the color, represents a move across its radius. Use the Colorize control to add color to a grayscale image converted to RGB, or to add color to an RGB image.
We need to adjust the hue and saturation settings on another "adjustments layer" in order to get the effect for the sky.
